![]() After removing the Intel drivers the game now works fine again. Here's how to fix it: Restart your PC Open the Windows Control Panel Under the Programs tab, click Uninstall a Program. Update Everything You should always keep your drivers and Windows up to date. Now try to open the Rockstar launcher again. I didn't do this before cause 1) I forgot I had them installed in the first place and 2) They were hidden in a drop down menu in DDU so I didn't see them for a visual reminder that I had them. Choose Run this program as an administrator. ![]() So I used DDU again but to remove not the Nvidia drivers, but the Intel Arc ones instead. and despite using an Nvidia GPU, my pc automatically installed drivers for them cause I have an Intel CPU. at the same time red dead stopped working, the Intel Arc GPU's launched. Program files >Rockstar games add launcher and social club from there. ![]() Open the Epic Games Launcher Click Library Click the three dots next to your game. Not even wiping all my Nvidia drivers with DDU would work. Add an exception and go to program files(x86) add social club folder in Rockstar Games and Launcher in the same location. exe file (it will either be GTAV.exe or RDR2.exe) Select Properties On the Compatibility tab, check Run this program as administrator Click OK Return to your Library in the Steam Launcher Launch your game Epic Games Launcher. black screen for a few seconds then it crashes with the "failed to initialize graphics device" ( I don't remember the exact wording but it was basically that) and I tried the different fixes I could find in this subreddit and YouTube and nothing worked. The launcher located 'C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Launcher\Launcher.exe' needs to be set to run as admin. For the past while now -I'd say the past month or two- I haven't been able to launch the game. ![]()
